Akamas Museums Receive Leading European Cultural Tourism Award

Four museums in the Akamas region (Paphos, Cyprus) won first place at the 18th annual European Cultural Tourism Network (ECTN) conference, held on October 2, 2025, in Sibiu, Romania.

The project revitalizing the Laona Plateau museums was recognized as a best-practice example in the “Cultural Tourism Services for All” category.

Akamas is a natural peninsula in northwestern Paphos, known for its protected landscapes, traditional villages, and museums preserving authentic Cypriot culture.
